WOMEN BUSINESS LEADERS UNITE
CHALLENGE
WBENC is the largest certification organization for Women's Business Enterprises. The dozens of Fortune
500 members of this non-profit organization needed a Web presence to serve both as a central reference
point for the national membership and to help facilitate and improve the certification process.
SOLUTION
Appliedinfo Services worked closely with WBENC to design and develop a site that met their needs while reducing
obsolescence of third-party software and controlling costs for this non-profit organization. The new
site includes a fully automated registration and application process for qualified women-owned businesses
that has improved turnaround time for bringing new suppliers into the organization. The WBENC site has
also helped to facilitate member access to news and information.
