Betty Lau, Chief Executive Officer
Betty Lau leads Appliedinfo Services, overseeing the development of a variety of innovative relational database management systems for clients such as Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, and DiGiorgio/White Rose. A 20-year entrepreneurial veteran, Ms. Lau is co-founder and CEO of Appliedinfo Services unifying company, Appliedinfo Partners, Inc. Her technical leadership resulted in the development of Appliedinfo Partners' flagship product, DivTRAK®, the leading diversity supplier management software.
To lay the groundwork for her independent success, Ms. Lau began her career at AT&T, where she entered as a programmer and left as a project manager. She holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Queens College in New York City.
John Lau, President
John Lau is co-founder and president of Appliedinfo Partners. He provides Appliedinfo Services with expert knowledge in the areas of supply chain diversity and imaging management systems. His visionary leadership has helped to realize the creation of many successful technology products, including DivTRAK® and DocuGOLD™.
With 25 years' experience in supplier diversity issues, optical imaging/document workflow, systems development, data communications, and total systems integration, Mr. Lau is recognized for his expertise in integrated diversity and technical solutions. He has been ranked among the "Top 50 Pros to Know" by iSource Magazine, recognized as Asian Entrepreneur of the Year, honored as one of The Fifty Influential Minorities in Business, and has received the Distinguished Small Business Award. Mr. Lau sits on the board of directors for the Airport Minority Advisory Council.
Prior to founding Appliedinfo Partners, Mr. Lau was a vice president at Shearson/American Express and a systems manager at Citibank. He has also consulted for corporations, including Merrill Lynch, AT&T, Pfizer, Merck, Sea-Land, Johnson & Johnson, and the U.S. Army. Mr. Lau received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in physics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He was also a PhD. Candidate and has attended numerous management classes at Dartmouth's Amos Tuck School of Business Administration.
